The geography of Hawaii is unique and different for each island, all of which began as volcanoes rising out of the ocean centuries ago, Kauai being the oldest and the Big Island the youngest. And another active volcano lurks beneath the surface to the southeast of the Big Island and will eventually pop its head above the water to proclaim the birth of the next Hawaiian Island.
